I recently watched a news story that focused on a five year old girl named Shanyia Davis.She was only under her mothers care for a couple weeks and was used for prostitution. Her mother apparently sold her to a man who brought her to a hotel room and did God knows what with her. Yesterday, they found that little girl's body near deer carcasses in the trash. That's right, at only 5 years old she was found dead. Her father regrets giving his daughter to her birth mother. She had just recently found a new job and home and his intention was only to allow his daughter the chance to have a mother in her life.
I can not fathom how any mother could do that to her child. What kind of sick person could do something so terrible. At five years old, she was placed in a dangerous situation that could do nothing but harm her and it did...in the most fatal way.
The mother has been charged with human trafficking anf felony child abuse and the man with kidnapping. No one has been charged with murder but it seems like both should be. Had it not been for their actions, Shanyia Davis would still be alive with the chance to live a happy life, like any five year old girl should.
